I had a bad dream.

I'm laying in bed texting on my day off when sleep overcame me. I dreamt that I was laying in my bed facing the window. It overlooks the Hutchinson River / Parkway in the northeast Bronx. Then I noticed a grand piano floating in the sky very close to my windowpane. It had some writing on it but I don't remember what it said. After that happened, the skies got dark and it started pouring rain. At least that's what it looked like, but the next thing I know, a helicopter hovers by. Suddenly I feel the window and the entire building beneath me shaking, first a little bit and soon it was violent. I came to the realization that we were in an earthquake. I jumped onto the floor praying that nothing would fall on top of me. I felt the building rock back and forth, up and down for at least what felt like 60 seconds in dream time. The shaking slowed and slowed until there was one lump across the floor of my room where it looked like a beam would stick out of the floor. But finally, in one violent snap, the floor fixed itself and the quake was over. My first reaction was to look outside at any property damaged. The most noticable thing was the diagonal faultline that was exposed across the highway. I saw that the southbound lanes had shifted eastward along the line, connecting the northbound and southbound lanes of roadway. There were no cars moving so the fire department crews were called in to begin moving some of the rubble. Then I got up from the window and I ran around my house searching for the rest of my family and everyone was okay. This was a weird and graphic dream. Shoulda gone to work today. Haha.
